The URC Quality & Performance Institute (QPI) is a division of URC which serves as an organizing force to bring together best practices, staff experience, partnerships, and documentation on improving health care at URC. URC is currently seeking for a Knowledge Management / Communications Advisor, for an upcoming USAID/ Kenya- HIV Service Delivery Support Activity (HSDSA) Program.

The overall goal of this activity is to increase access and coverage for HIV prevention, care and treatment services towards achieving the ’90-90-90′ targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement effective knowledge management practices for the project and drive the communication and dissemination of the projects and activities
  • Coordinate documentation of interventions and results through multiple media, including video clips, photographs, interviews, and case studies
  • Lead in content development for project Portal related to improving the quality of health care
  • Write USAID Success Stories and web stories about interventions and results, making this information available as appropriate to the project portal, USAID Kenya website, and Ministry of Health information channels
  • Assist in tracking and effectively communicating the results and impact of project work by supporting the project team in the design and implementation of knowledge-sharing activities in the counties
  • Coordinate and manage the preparation, publication and dissemination of projects knowledge products and services, including helping to determine the best media to achieve its dissemination goals
  • Conduct other assignments related to communications and knowledge management

Job Requirements

  • Degree in communications, journalism, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience related to health or development
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills
