Account Executive

What we trust you to do 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to acquire and retain enterprise-level clients, focusing on agri-food businesses.
  • Present SaaS-based market intelligence and analytics solutions to decision-makers, emphasizing their value in optimizing agricultural supply chains and trade strategies.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and targeted outreach campaigns. Manage and nurture a pipeline of high-potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise clients, acting as a trusted advisor to address their business challenges using SaaS solutions.
  • Work closely with the product, marketing, and customer success teams to align offerings with market needs and ensure seamless onboarding and support.
  • Stay informed about tech, SaaS, and agri-food industry trends to tailor solutions to evolving client needs.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets, monitor KPIs, and report progress and opportunities regularly.

What you need to succeed 

  • 5+ years in enterprise / SMB sales, preferably in SaaS or tech sales for the agri-food, agriculture, or market intelligence sectors.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, solution-selling methodologies, and account management.
  • Familiarity with the global agri-food market, including trends, supply chains, and operational challenges is nice to have but not essential.
  • Ability to understand and communicate the value of SaaS platforms and data-driven solutions.
  • Fluent speaker of Swahili with an advanced level of written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Existing network and relationships within government/university sectors
  • Large account management experience
  • Several years of business consulting management experience
