Account Manager (Sales Team)

Job Summary

  • The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of sales representatives (for different clients) driving performance, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This role involves mentoring the team, building strong client relationships, and aligning team activities with the company’s goals. The ideal candidate combines leadership capabilities with strategic sales management to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management
  • Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of salespeople to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity and morale.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for the team.
  • Set clear KPIs and performance targets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize sales.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and address challenges.
  • Collaborate with the various stakeholders to align initiatives with sales efforts.
  • Monitor and report on team performance, ensuring accurate forecasts and timely updates to senior management.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Support team members in resolving client issues and negotiating contracts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Operational Oversight
  • Ensure the sales team adheres to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Manage sales budgets, expense reports, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Utilize CRM tools and other software to track sales activities and performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales and account management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in managing and coaching sales teams in a dynamic environment.
