Job Description

Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imprest reconciliations and management
  • Monitor budget through expenditure
  • Prepare variance reports
  • Assist in facilitating training & conferences
  • Monitor & ensure payments for vendors are actualized
  • Asset register management
  • Assist in Inventory management
  • Support in study-related procurement processes and tracking of supplies

Vacancy Requirements:

  • Bachelors of Commerce in (Finance/Accounting option), Business Administration or equivalent
  • CPA part II
  • Good communication skills
  • Pleasant personality
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good report-writing skills
  • Good Computer skills, especially, MS Office packages
