Job Description

KAPA is a leading manufacture of edible oils, margarine, baking powder, detergent powder such as toss, laundry and toilet soaps and glycerine.

Area Sale Manager (ASM)

KEY OUTPUTS / TASKS

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, forecasts, and performance targets.
  • We are looking for a results-oriented Area Sales Manager with FMCG experience to drive growth, manage distributors enhance market presence and team Monitor and drive sales growth across assigned territories and product lines.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in field sales preferably in the FMCG sector.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of field sales representatives to achieve performance goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with key customers and sub-distributors.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements in line with company policies.
  • Proven experience managing field teams, distributor networks, and driving regional sales growth.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues related to logistics, service, and accounting. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities and customer accounts.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership,
  • communication, and analytical skills.
  • Increase product penetration through strategic market coverage and route planning.
  • Support product launches, in-store positioning, and promotional execution.

RELATIONSHIPS & ROLES:

  • Enforce credit control policies and monitor dealer account reconciliations.
  • Internal/External Co-operation:
  • Ability to liaise and communicate with
  • Control sales return ratios and ensure financial discipline across accounts.
  • Distributors and customers.
  • Coordinate closely with finance and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales plans, targets, and forecasts.
  • Generate and analyse sales reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Forecasting and territory/customer-level target setting.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales processes, pricing policies, and operational standards.
  • Work with HR to implement performance incentives and corrective measures when needed.

  • Head of General Trade
  • To perform any other duties that may be assigned to you by the management/HOD from time to time
