Area Sales Manager – Fast-Moving Consumer Goods- Marsabit

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring area salesrevenues are continuously enhanced to maximize returns on investment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and marketing expense controls.
  • Execute said plan and meet sales goals.
  • Set individual sales targets with the sales team.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team and provide ongoingtraining of the salespeople.
  • Assist in recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoringof
  • sales representatives. Develop new avenues of marketing and lead generation.
  • Equip the sales team through motivation, counseling, and product knowledgeeducation. Understand our ideal customers and how they relate to our products.
  • Develop and cultivate long-term relationships with prospective consumers andother related industries to help strengthen partnerships. Leverage the existing network and expand the company’s product reach andrepeatbusiness through relationship building and exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the team to properly coordinate project implementation, andcustomer service support interface, and proactively address problems/customerissues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market trends, competitive threats, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers.
  • Strategic reporting on all sales activities including sales and prospecting activities, sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A diploma/degree in Sales & Marketing or a related field – froma reputable institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience handling Fast-Moving Consumer Goods. (FMCG) with at least 1 year’s experience managing and directing a sales team. Spoken and written English communication with the highest standards of
  • professionalism is required. Proficiency in customer relationship management.
  • Must be a fast learner, highly self-motivated, capable of producing high-impact
  • work without supervision, adaptable, and self-confident.
  • Creativity to solve problems and develop ideas to improve workflowand efficiency.
  • Mental and emotional fortitude to thrive in a fast pace, high-production, performance-driven environment.
  • High business acumen with excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex information and adapt it to specificcustomers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a high degree of responsiveness, reliability, and integrity.
  • Driven with a persuasive, enthusiastic, and client-centric focus. Availability -Immediately
