Job Description

Meliore Foundation endeavours to put just, inclusive, and equitable solutions to global issues at the core of the world’s political, social, environmental, and economic discourse. To help achieve this vision, Meliore Foundation provides operational support and regranting funding for aligned programmes engaged in strategic communications and campaigns.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Manage Africa and Europe Directors’ calendars and logistics including scheduling meetings, coordinating attendees across multiple time zones and effectively handling changes.
  • Assist in the drafting, formatting and editing of complex internal documents (e.g. papers, presentations, etc.).
  • Plan and book international travel as needed.
  • Retrieve and process expenses for Europe-based and Africa-based Directors.
  • Support the Leadership Team Office and the CEO office with wider ad hoc administrative and project tasks (e.g. team meetings, internal communications, event planning, etc.), including the contribution to a standardised delivery of excellence and reliability.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties as requested.

Our ideal candidate has

  • Proven 1-2 years of work experience in a similar administrative position, ideally working in a busy international environment.
  • Demonstrates growth-mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, embracing challenges and feedback as opportunities for growth and improvement
  • A proactive and autonomous approach with creative problem-solving skills and the flexibility to effectively deal with last-minute changes.
  • Familiarity with meeting coordination and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent planning skills, attention to detail, diligence and reliability.
  • A high level of discretion when working with confidential information at all levels.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; French and German an asset an asset.
  • A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.
  • The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
  • The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack, Asana and email (Google Workspace).
  • A commitment to an inclusive and empowering approach to facing climate change
