Assistant Communications Manager – Production

Position Overview:

  • We are looking for a dynamic and experienced audiovisual professional to lead our multimedia content production. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strategic thinking to create compelling corporate communications across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Management

  • Produce high-quality videos, documentaries, and news features
  • Manage end-to-end production process from conceptualization to delivery
  • Create content for multiple platforms (TV, social media, corporate events)
  • Design and implement audiovisual production itineraries

Technical Production

  • Direct video shoots using professional camera equipment
  • Manage on-location audio setups
  • Edit videos for various aspect ratios (TV, social media platforms)
  • Create and proofread subtitles for videos
  • Ability to provide audiovisual coverage using camcorders DSLRs and other cameras.
  • Familiarity with iMac and MacBook Pro platforms
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally for news and documentary gathering
  • Ability to work across Group subsidiaries
  • Experience interviewing high-level VVIPs and delegations
  • Adaptability to emerging audiovisual trends
  • Knowledge in interviewing interviewees for news and documentary content.
  • Capable of taking A-roll and B-roll footage
  • A nose for internal news
  • Image photo captioning for photography shoots

Strategic Planning

  • Develop and manage content broadcast schedules
  • Plan and coordinate assignments for the wider production team
  • Implement SEO strategies for optimal content visibility
  • Analyze and report on content performance metrics
  • Coordinate and disseminate tasks to the production team
  • Manage task tracking systems for project efficiency
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Production, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in audiovisual production
  • Proven track record in corporate communications
  • Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expertise with Canon and Nikon cameras for video and photography
  • Experience with cinema cameras and detachable lenses
  • Knowledge of on-location audio equipment (lapel, lavalier setups)

Content Creation Skills

  • Ability to write and edit video scripts for news documentaries and promos.
  • Proficiency in creating content for various aspect ratios
  • Ability to post produce and produce news features and documentaries end to end.
  • Knowledge in designing and creating promos
  • Knowledge in creating image and photo slideshows

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of AI tools for content optimization
  • SEO optimization experience
  • Experience with task management software
  • Operate drone equipment for aerial footage.
  • Experience in voice-over work and hard news story writing.
  • Basic skills in Lightroom and Photoshop.
