Assistant HR Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant HR Officer to support the Human Resources function. The role involves both administrative and operational HR responsibilities, as well as partnering with internal teams to enhance employee experience, ensure compliance, and drive effective HR practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end recruitment processes including advertising, shortlisting, and interview coordination
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR systems (manual and digital)
  • Ensure timely preparation and issuance of contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation
  • Assist in payroll administration and employee data management
  • Coordinate onboarding, induction, and employee orientation programs
  • Support employee relations processes including disciplinary hearings and investigations
  • Assist in staff welfare initiatives, benefits administration, and employee communication
  • Monitor leave records and ensure compliance with HR policies
  • Support training and development initiatives and coordinate learning programs
  • Provide HR advisory support to employees on policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and internal HR policies
  • Assist in preparation of HR reports and analysis of workforce data

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., IHRM/CHRP) is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of labour laws and HR best practices
