Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager – Robotics will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of robotics initiatives within the organization. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of robotics projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving the adoption of robotics technology.

Main Responsibilities

Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the robotics strategy, aligned with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for robotics implementation and automation to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct research and analysis on emerging robotics technologies and trends to recommend strategic directions for the organization.

Operational:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process automation opportunities and develop robotics solutions to streamline workflows and improve productivity.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of robotics vendors, technologies, and platforms to meet business requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage robotics projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and monitoring project progress.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and integration of robotics solutions, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

Corporate Governance (Regulatory & Compliance):

  • Stay updated with relevant regulatory and compliance guidelines related to robotics technology and ensure adherence to such requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop policies and procedures governing the use of robotics, data privacy, and security.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with robotics initiatives.

Leadership and Culture:

  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement by promoting robotics awareness and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members involved in robotics projects.
  • Collaborate with HR to identify and address skill gaps, training needs, and talent acquisition requirements related to robotics.

Requirements

Key Competencies

  • Proven experience in DevOps practices and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Ruby, or Bash.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud computing, or agile methodologies are desirable.

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, software engineering, or related roles.
