Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports, recommends, and executes a vision for Ecommerce sites aligned with IT strategy.
  • Maintain inventory of ICT equipment and software; Administer software and updates.
  • Provides support around existing systems and tools (Shopify, Gorgias)
  • Assist in conducting impact evaluation of ICT processes on business. Evaluate the tangible consequences of the implementation of new ICT systems and functions on the current business structure and organisational procedures.
  • Support the business in the statistical aspects of testing in the web experience.
  • Design experiments and A/B tests within the existing business environment that have clear goals and can be clearly interpreted, reported on and concluded from.
  • Perform and implement market research on UX and UI – Gather, assess and represent data about target market and customers in order to facilitate strategic development and feasibility studies. Identify gaps in UX and UI challenges and address them.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all network and computer related issues.
  • Integrate security, physical control solutions for all confidential data systems;Integrate and configure computer networking for best performance;
  • Troubleshoot and repair of hardware, operating systems and applications;
  • Identify security gaps and provide relevant solutions in consultation with the IT Manager
  • Test and evaluate all new technology including M&E systems e.g.AI system, database systems, websites etc.
  • Enhance office IT system through appropriate upgrades and advise Operations Unit on changes or improvements required;
  • Provide solutions and resolve problems and issues in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Perform risk analysis -Identify and assess factors that may jeopardise the success of the e-commerce platform or a project or threaten the organisation’s functioning.
  • Perform Back Ups / Security among other duties

Qualifications & Experience

  • Have a Degree in IT or related field from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years hands-on IT Support experience
