Job Description

Purpose for the Job

To provide leadership to the retention team and guarantee customer delight by utilizing Minet’s expertise and resources to ensure satisfactory delivery of service is achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the team by building a competent, efficient, and motivated workforce.
  • Manage the annual renewal process of clients and timely submission of the attendant documents.
  • Develop processes and procedures that ensure satisfactory delivery of service to customers.
  • Execute and implement management strategies for the department.
  • Provide professional advice to clients on insurance matters by ensuring that they are trained and equipped with knowledge regarding the ramifications of any relevant provisions of the Insurance Act and/or Industry developments.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the underwriter’s performance through a practical scorecard.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and other company policies, especially those pertaining to quality control.
  • Communicate with staff on changes made to contracts by underwriters. Ensure appropriate amendments are made to the system including updates on the contract files.
  • Responsible for the formulation, monitoring and achievement of the sectoral budget.
  • Explore and recommend appropriate debt management strategy and oversee the divisional debt management obligation.

  • A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in insurance industry and preferably brokerage firm.

Professional and Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Diploma in Insurance (ACII/AIIK)
