Asst. Finance Manager – Treasury Operations

ROLE PURPOSE

  • The Assistant Finance Manager – Treasury Operations provides strategic leadership for the treasury function, ensuring liquidity, optimizing cash resources, managing financial risks, and meeting financial obligations. This role is vital for financial stability, operational efficiency, and sustainable business growth.

KEY ROLES
Treasury & Liquidity Management

  • Lead the planning, monitoring, and optimization of daily, weekly, and monthly cash flows.
  • Maintain real-time visibility of cash positions and strategically orchestrate fund flows.
  • Optimize liquidity through effective deployment of short-term financing, investments, and cash pooling mechanisms.

Accounts Payable & Cost Governance

  • Provide oversight of accounts payable operations and maintain ownership of the creditors’ portfolio.
  • Lead and develop the accounts payable function while strengthening supplier relationships. Support enterprise-wide cost governance through robust costing and operating expense control.

Working Capital & Financial Risk Management

  • Drive working capital efficiency through coordination of inventory, receivables, and payables.
  • Lead foreign exchange risk management initiatives and advise on mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Compliance

  • Act as a key liaison with banks, lenders, regulators, and strategic suppliers.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, contractual, and financial obligations.

Reporting, Controls & Digital Enablement

  • Deliver high-quality treasury and liquidity reports to senior management. Strengthen internal controls and champion treasury technology adoption.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • CPA (K) or CIMA qualification.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • • Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in senior finance or treasury roles.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and stakeholder management capability.
  • High standards of integrity, governance, and accountability
