Job Description

KKCO East Africa  is an independent accounting and advisory firm of Certified Public Accountants situated in Kenya with a vision for significant growth across the continent of Africa.   Established in 1985 by two founding partners: Mr Isaiah Kimani and Mr Joshua Kerretts, the firm was known as Kimani Kerretts & Co, which was then rebranded to KKCO East Africa in 2015.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The audit internship responsibilities revolve around provision of assistance in verification of audit trail and support in all audit assignments of our organizational books of account.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Carry out audit verification for transactions to check the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures.
  • Vouch statement of comprehensive income disclosures to third party support documents.
  • Verify and inspect accounts balances and general ledgers disclosures for accuracy.
  • Review adherence to set internal control systems and policies
  • Review regulatory compliance
  • Carry out audit as guided by the audit senior in line with international auditing standards

KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Quality as defined by KKCO Quality Control Manual
  • Timeliness, accuracy and minimal supervision in audit completion, reviews and reports
  • Good knowledge in use and application of CCH audit system.
  • Responsiveness to customer needs.
  • Practical knowledge and application of IFRSs and IASs.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES.

Qualification

  • Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting from a recognized institution
  • CPA(Finalist) ACCA (Finalist)
