Job Description

The role holder is responsible for driving branch performance against key performance standards as communicated and agreed with the head of business segment in areas such as; Balance sheet growth (funded and non-funded lines) sales growth & income contribution, cost performance, credit management, employee satisfaction, customer experience & Operational risk & control management.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drive branch business performance through achievement of growth, profitability, and customer acquisition targets.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow funded and non-funded business portfolios.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities from both existing and prospective customers.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering exceptional service standards.
• Monitor branch sales performance and portfolio growth against agreed targets.
• Analyze financial statements, assess credit requests, and provide recommendations for approval.
• Oversee credit portfolio quality, including management of loan arrears and excess drawings.
• Ensure timely perfection and registration of collateral and securities.
• Lead, coach, and motivate branch staff to achieve high performance standards.
• Manage branch operational risk, compliance, and internal controls.
• Prepare and submit regular business performance and activity reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and branch efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Relevant professional qualification in Banking, Finance, Business Management, or a related discipline.
• Membership in a recognized professional body is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years’ relevant banking or financial services experience, including at least 3 years in a management role.
