Uasin Gishu County is situated in the mid-west of the Rift Valley covering an area of 3,345.2 square kilometers and lies between longitude 34 degrees 50’ east and 35 degrees 37’ west and latitude 0 degrees 03’ south and 0 degrees 55’ north

Requirements for appointment:-

• A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following areas: – Commerce (Finance Option), Economics, Business Administration, Business Management or Finance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) K or Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) will be added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities: –

• Compile and format financial estimates;
• Analyze information on commitment and expenditure trends and initiate appropriate corrective action as may be required
• Compile information required on budget monitoring and expenditure control including expenditures on salaries and allowances
• Prepare reports and briefs on budgetary policy issues.
• Compile and Prepare County Budgets for the recurrent and development
• Compile outputs and outcomes
• Initiate proposals seeking funds for additional expenditure and reallocation of voted funds during the year
• Prepare quarterly expenditure forecasts as a basis for discussions with the Treasury for release of funds;
• Monitor expenditure and projects including programme implementation on a periodic basis and ensuring timely disbursement of funds
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets
