Job Description

SportPesa, is a Kenya-based sports betting website owned and operated by Pevans East Africa Limited. The website is licensed by the BCLB (Betting Control and Licensing Board of Kenya) under the Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Act.

Duties and Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze detailed business requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to elicit and validate requirements.

Process Modelling and Documentation:

  • Create process flowcharts, diagrams, and other visual representations to document current and future state processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date process documentation.

Solution Design and Evaluation:

  • Work closely with development and technical teams to design and evaluate potential solutions.
  • Provide recommendations based on business impact, feasibility, and technical considerations.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT):

  • Develop UAT plans, test cases, and coordinate testing efforts with business users.
  • Ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, issues, and risks.

Change Management and Implementation Support:

  • Assist in change management activities, including training, communication, and readiness assessments.
  • Support the implementation and rollout of new systems or processes.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in business operations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 – 6 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
  • Proficient in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g., requirements gathering, process modelling, UAT).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective change management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
  • Experience in generating process documentation
