Key Responsibilities

• Set Key Performance Indicators for the department and follow up for accomplishment and handling non-conformance.
• Supervise with the Business Development Team to ensure enhanced productivity.
• Develop the business development plan and strategy for the company.
• Coordinate the implementation of the customer management strategy.
• Build key customer relations, identify business opportunities, negotiate, and close business deals.
• Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and alliances to enhance service offerings.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and other industry stakeholders.
• Negotiate and manage partnerships to optimize mutual benefits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field;
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role.
• Must demonstrate effectiveness in generating business leads, negotiating, and closing business,
•  Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of customs legislation, tariffs, import/export documentation, customs clearance, bond management and customs declaration.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of clearing and forwarding regulations.
• Must be well conversant with port operations procedures.
• Must demonstrate the ability to maintain good working relationships with all the stakeholders.
• Must demonstrate ability to work independently.
• Must demonstrate good supervision skills and be a good team player.
• Must be flexible in work habits and schedules,
• Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice.
• Must demonstrate commitment to operational effectiveness.
