Job Description

Janta Kenya is a HR Consultancy firm established with an objective of encompassing integral and necessary skills that most individuals and organizations need in everyday business.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Marketing

  • Identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals within the company’s quality business guidelines to increase the market share.
  • Drive achievement of the annual, quarterly, and monthly production budget targets.
  • Manage quality of business, productivity, and overall sales performance.
  • Build robust relationships with assigned and sourced intermediaries.
  • Provide accurate and competitive quotations for all the product lines and ensure they are delivered promptly to prospective clients.
  • Build up detailed knowledge about the company’s products and keep abreast of market conditions and developments.
  • Conduct continuous product training for intermediaries
  • Manage and maintain existing client relationships to identify opportunities for cross-selling, areas of growth, and new business acquisition. •
  • Exploit synergy with other Group companies to grow business.

Operational Procedures

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure customer instructions are executed within the set timelines to enhance levels of customer satisfaction,
  • Ensure credit control policy is adhered to for business on boarded.
  • Prepare timely, accurate, informative reports on the performance of the distribution channel.
  • Ensure the company works only with properly licensed intermediaries with ethical practices.
  • Implement the Treat Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines in Sales and Distribution.
  • Ensure strict adherence to practices, procedures, and policies stipulated in the Business Development operations manual, including the Code of Ethics.

Learning and Growth

  • Continue to build a personal skill set by participating in in-house programs (including e-learning), customer-related courses, and seminars as deemed necessary to expand product and system knowledge,
  • Understand and actively support and advocate the organization’s mission, vision, and core values.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance and/ or a business-related field
  • Diploma in Insurance (ACII or AIIK) professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • 2 years’ experience in managing intermediaries in General Insurance business
