Business Manager – Adhesives Sales, EA

Your Role

  • Deliver financial and non-financial goals as set by the company.
  • Manage yearly and monthly budgeted targets for all aspects of the P&L.
  • Provide strong leadership to the existing businesses. Review the current situation of team competencies, product slate, competitors, product-application-segment mapping and Henkel position and make changes, as necessary, to grow faster than the market.
  • For new segments, identify, qualify and pursue opportunities via customer and industry interactions.
  • Lead assessments of our product & market viability. Develop recommendations and be accountable for outcomes. – Identify white spaces in the market to capture quick wins.
  • Be the primary source of market information leading to development of market specific strategies for the designated markets. Leads market research, competitive analysis, market size studies to develop insights from data & analysis to prioritize growth initiatives.
  • Build a new business development pipeline with real time opportunities employing the ACE project tool and provide visibility to near and mid-term goals.
  • Collaborate with and help to set priorities for all other functions / departments to support new markets to effectively and efficiently meet financial targets.
  • Manage synergies by collaborating effectively with key stakeholders within and outside the Country.
  • Amplify company’s efforts on specification and trials to ensure market penetration.
  • Build and manage effective channels to market for sustainable growth.
  • Ensure operational excellence in terms of price, credit and inventory management.
  • Maintaining a strong cadence of regular reporting, forecasting and gap closure.
  • Drive the culture of safety, diversity & integrity keeping in sight the Global guidelines.
  • Frequent travels within the East Africa region.

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/chemical engineering
  • Minimum of 7 years sales & marketing experience in EA countries/markets. Must have exposure to distribution sales & key account management.
  • Technical/Sales experience in adhesives/coatings/specialty chemicals/sealants applications.
