Duties and Responsibilities

  • Select, portion, and prepare different cuts of meat according to menu requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure meat products are prepared and cooked to the required standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper equipment cleaning and maintenance.
  • Receive and inspect meat deliveries, checking for quality and quantity.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Assist in inventory management, including tracking meat supplies and suggesting reorder levels.
  • Support the kitchen team during peak hours and special events as needed.

Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification

  • Proven experience as a Butcher/Meat Cutter in a restaurant or meat market.
  • Knowledge of different cuts of meat and poultry, as well as meat preparation techniques.
  • Ability to use and maintain various butchering tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent hygiene and sanitation practices.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle heavy meat products.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
