Job Description

I&M Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of I&M Holdings Limited, a publicly quoted company at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). The bank possesses a rich heritage in banking.

Job Summary

  • Develop and deploy card products sales strategy.
  • Participate in development and execution of card sales programs.
  • Actively participate in the development and deployment of card business credit policy
  • Develop and implement an end-to-end card business on-boarding process flow for all card products.
  • Drive your own and entire bank card sales target.
  • Own and drive card sales targets across the entire bank network

Responsibilities

Key Deliverables

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell all card products and value add services to customers.
  • Drive Card Portfolio growth through effective new credit card/prepaid/debit card acquisition strategies, Customer Management, Card usage, drive strong Portfolio Performance and Profitability.
  • Develop strategies for card business to ensure the business achieves its set budget figures and set card sales targets for card business and branches assigned while ensuring that policies and guidelines are adhered to.
  • Jointly work with products teams to develop new products and improve the existing ones.
  • Co-ordinate with branch-based teams and all other BDM teams to drive acquisitions numbers.
  • Co-ordinate with other stakeholders to implement end to end robust sales processes that will grow the numbers.
  • Develop and share MI for tracking sales performance across the bank network.
  • Manage sales staff under you.
  • Ensure compliance with both external & internal compliance requirements.
  • Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders to drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop tailored sales and promotional strategies to drive product update.
  • Lead the development of distribution channels to ensure efficient and widespread availability of our products to target markets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management.

Bank Network Product Support

  • Engage with branches and other stakeholders to drive card product uptake.
  • Drive product training across the entire branch network
  • Engage all key stakeholder to drive product sales performance – RM, DST teams, Virtual RMs, branch managers, area managers etc
  • Be at the center of ensuring all product related queries and complains are handled conclusively and on a timely manner.

Product Sales Support

  • Develop and roll out card sales programs.
  • Work with all stakeholders – branch network, RMs, DSTs to drive card sales
  • Constant review of existing processes to enable seamless cards sales operations process flow.
  • Develop training material to facilitate card knowledge capacity building across the entire bank network

Risk, Legal and Compliance

  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Absa Bank Policies and Policy Standards. Understand and manage risks and risk events (incidents) relevant to the role.
  • Ensure all products are compliant with the banks and regulators, schemes, processors/payment gateways compliance requirements.
  • Maintain an RCSA for all the products.
  • Do regular reviews of product compliance status.
  • Documentation, review, resolution and escalation (where necessary) of any compliance exception items.
  • Ensure all mandatory training is completed to the deadline and understood within given timescales.
