Job Description

Nyandarua County is a County in the former Central Province of Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Ol Kalou.Formerly the capital was Nyahururu, which is now part of the Laikipia County. Nyandarua County has population of 596,268 [and an area of 3,304 km²

Chairperson, County Public Service Board

Requirements for Appointment:

  • To be considered for appointment to this position, an applicant must:
  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Kenya (a Master’s degree will be an added advantage);
  • Possess at least ten (10) years of senior-level management experience.
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on leadership and integrity;
  • Be a professional of high integrity with no record of breaching professional codes of conduct;
  • Not currently holding a position as a public or state officer;
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the county’s diversity; and
  • Be capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting strict deadlines;

Method of Application Tenure of Office: A non-renewable six (6) year term, which may be served on a part-time basis. Remuneration: Remuneration and benefits shall be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
