Job Description

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) was established by an Act of Parliament, Chapter 469 of the laws of Kenya , which became effective on 1st July 1995 . The Authority is charged with the responsibility of collecting revenue on behalf of the Government of Kenya. A Board of Directors, consisting of both public and private sector experts, makes policy decisions to be implemented by KRA Management. The Chairman of the Board is appointed by the President of the Republic of Kenya . The Chief Executive of the Authority is the Commissioner General who is appointed by the Minister for Finance. PURPOSE OF KRA Assessment , Collection, Administration and Enforcement of laws relating to revenue.

Purpose of the job

Coordination with internal and external stakeholders to enforce best practices in Supply Chain Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and review of Supply Chain Management Strategy, policies, procedures and processes.
  • Consolidation of the Annual Procurement Plan (APP) in line with statutory requirements as well as implementation for specific categories.
  • Management of systems and processes within the Supply Chain Management for value realization.
  • Ensure compliance with the Statutory, Corporate, Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) and Special Interest Groups development requirements.
  • Management of performance, audit, integrity, QMS and risk programmes

Requirements

Academic qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field from a recognized University.
  • A Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field from a recognized University is an added advantage.

Professional qualification

  • Professional Level Diploma MCIPS(UK) / CPSP-K (Kenya) or equivalent
  • Member in good standing and Licensed Practitioner KISM (Kenya Institute of Supplies Management)

Work experience

  • Minimum seven (7) years in Supply Chain Management with at least three (3) years in a Senior Management level.

  • Good leadership and managerial skills
  • Attention to details and ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Ability to research and propose suitable solutions/products for business improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict management, written and oral communication skills.
