Uasin Gishu County is situated in the mid-west of the Rift Valley covering an area of 3,345.2 square kilometers and lies between longitude 34 degrees 50’ east and 35 degrees 37’ west and latitude 0 degrees 03’ south and 0 degrees 55’ north

Requirements For appointment:-

• Degree in Social Sciences or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Have necessary experience in their respective field of profession of at least four (4) years;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
• Experienced in handling teams, coordinating services and working in outreach programs for the vulnerable, rehabilitation and treatment of addicted persons.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

• Plan program activities on timely and accurate manner;
• Establish a database and referral mechanism system for the rehabilitation of persons to receive comprehensive services;
• Reach out to vulnerable and/ or addicted persons and admit to the rehabilitation center(s);
• Consider and co-ordinate with other services to undertake a comprehensive assessment and develop individual rehabilitation programmes;
• Monitor and evaluate support programmes and ensure meaningful outcomes are recorded and built upon during the support process;
• Coordinate rehabilitation of the addicted persons;
• Prepare progress reports including identification of problems, causes of potential bottlenecks in implementation, and providing specific recommendations; and
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets
