China Desk Relationship Manager(Mandarin Speaking)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of China Desk clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all banking-related matters and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead end-to-end onboarding processes, including account opening, KYC documentation, and coordination with compliance teams to ensure timely account activation.
  • Support and manage client cross-border payment needs, with a strong focus on CNY remittances and China corridor solutions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely execution.
  • Handle day-to-day client requests, including transaction inquiries, payment follow-ups, and troubleshooting operational issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Advise clients on and promote relevant banking products, including FX services, fixed deposits, and payment solutions, to enhance client engagement and wallet share.
  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, compliance, treasury, and product) to ensure seamless service delivery and effective resolution of client issues.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships, increase transaction volumes, and support the growth of the China corridor business.
  • Monitor client activities to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and support documentation or reviews when required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, International Trade, or related field
  • 4-6 years experience in sales, preferably in import/export, trade finance, or logistics
  • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience dealing with Chinese suppliers or managing China trade corridor clients

Mandatory Requirement

  • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) – essential for engaging with Chinese partners and clients
