Clinical Officer

Role Purpose:

  •  Deliver high-quality healthcare services at our clinics and field programs, enhancing patient care and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services, including patient consultations, physical examinations, and accurate diagnostics.
  • Manage online consultations and patient inquiries through our telemedicine platform.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient records in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Respond to emergencies and recommend referrals following MOH guidelines.
  • Oversee clinic inventory, manage stock levels, and prevent medication expiries using first-in, first-out protocols.
  • Supervise daily clinic operations, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment for sterilization, ensuring availability of necessary packs.
  • Conduct patient education sessions on preventive healthcare measures and promote health awareness.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and quality service delivery.
  • Regularly report on clinic performance and escalate patient care issues as needed.
  • Participate in continuous medical education (CME) sessions and staff training.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree/Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
  • Valid practising license from the Clinical Officers Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy healthcare facility.
  • Knowledge of non-communicable diseases, child welfare clinics, and sexual reproductive health management.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with a proactive approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in underserved communities.
  • Team player with leadership skills, capable of supervising small teams.
  • Self-initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
