Clinical Psychologist

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Master’s degree in clinical psychology
  • At least 3 years clinical experience with patients
  • Must have a valid Kenya Psychological Association license to practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify client’s psychological, emotional, or behavioural issues
  • Assess, formulate, and diagnose a patient’s needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews, and direct observation of behaviour
  • Diagnose psychological, emotional, or behavioural disorders Develop and implement treatment plans and therapeutic processes
  • Help clients define goals and plan action to achieve personal, social. educational, and vocational development and adjustment
  • Provide direct therapy based on the individual needs of patients, working within the allowed scope of the Psychologists training, license/ registration, and expertise.
