Job Description

HCS Affiliates Group, is a one-stop human resources and management consultancy organization, headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya.

BACKGROUND

Our Client, a nonprofit organization, seeks to recruit a Communications Assistant, who will be responsible for implementing communication projects and strategies. He/she will be ensure clear communication on the organizations message across all channels.

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Location: Nairobi

Contract Duration: 12 Months

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for updating the organizations activities on various social media platforms such as Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Support web site maintenance and updating the organizations activities
  • Supportthe organizations external communications
  • Support the development and execution of an integrated social marketing, behavior change communications, and advocacy strategy to promote fortified whole grain consumption in institutional and consumer markets
  • Support awareness campaigns on various projects undertaken by the organization.
  • Resource coordination
  • Coordinate and support/manage project teams, inclusive of preparing internal newsletter, taking minutes across weekly and monthly meetings
  • Support the participation in external events such as expos, trade summits
  • Tracking projects and media exposure.
  • Preparing presentations and reports.
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Degree in business administration, communications, international development, or other relevant fields; Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of 1years of relevant professional work experience, with a preference for private sector and/or international development background. Work experience in Africa and especially Eastern / Southern Africa markets is essential

  • Full command of oral and written English required, with proficiency in French a plus
