• We are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of a Compliance Officer who will work from Olij Kenya propagation, part of Dümmen orange located at Moi south lake road Naivasha, Kenya.
• The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing multiple tasks, keen to details and possess a proactive attitude to assist in ensuring operational efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REGULATORY AND INDUSTRY COMPLIANCE

• Identify legal requirements i.e. environmental regulations, OSHA standards for workplace safety, environmental permits, business licenses etc.
• To liaise with external auditors during certification audits
• To ensure audits are carried out as planned and that corrective actions are carried out.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION

• To update the QMS documentation system and ensure that correct documents are available at common site and place of use.
• To implement actions, place with regard to SOP, process audits and inspections.

COMPLIANCE TRAINING, TRAINING APPLICATION

• Assess training needs and ensure training on SOPs are carried out.
• Carry out induction on all new employees on QMS, Health and Safety requirements and environmental management.

SCOUT MANAGEMENT

• Manage scouting through analysis and action plans.
• Ensure proper field scouting.
• Ensure proper plant material check and communication.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture or a related field preferred.
• Good knowledge in auditing, certifications and Kenya Flower Council will be an added advantage.
• Relevant experience in Occupational safety and health and environmental auditing.
• Knowledge in auditing skills ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Time management and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
