Our client, a prominent company specializing in cement manufacturing in Tripoli, Libya, is actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable professional to join their exceptional team.

THE JOB

As a Compressor Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various compressors used in our cement production facility. The Compressor Technician will ensure smooth and efficient operation of compressors, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  1. Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot a wide variety of compressors used in the cement production process.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on compressors to ensure their optimal performance and efficiency.
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues and determine appropriate repair methods.
  4. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil and filter changes, lubrication, and belt replacements.
  5. Coordinate with relevant departments to schedule maintenance and repair activities to minimize disruption to production activities.
  6. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and usage.
  7. Monitor compressor performance and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  9. Collaborate with the procurement team to source and order spare parts as needed.
  10. Provide training and guidance to junior technicians as required.
  11. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends related to compressors and cement production.

QUALIFICATIONS

The job holder should have the following qualifications.

  1. Certification or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  2. Minimum of 11 years of experience as a Compressor Technician in an industrial setting, preferably in the cement industry.
  3. In-depth knowledge of various types of compressors and their components.
  4. Strong electrical and mechanical skills.

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THE JOB

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies.

  1. Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting compressor issues.
  2. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications.
  3. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Proficient in MS Office and other relevant computer applications.
  6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  7. Willingness to work in demanding and challenging environments.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING THE RIGHT PERSON

We are offering the following for the successful candidate:

  1. A competitive gross salary of 700- 800 USD Per Month.
  2. Overtime of 2 USD per hour.
  3. Food and local allowance of 300-400 LYD (Libyan dinar).
  4. Free accommodation and transport.
