Job Description

The CFS facility is strategically located adjacent to the SGR Nairobi Terminus.

Content Executive

The overall purpose of the role is to source and manage high-quality content, driving revenue through SMS subscriptions and content-driven campaigns, collaborating with teams on marketing strategies, securing partnerships, and analyzing content performance, while creatively supporting the growth of the content portfolio across multiple platforms.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Daily Content Research & Sourcing:

  • Identify and acquire high-quality, engaging content across various categories to meet platform and audience needs.

Monetization & Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and manage monthly SMS subscription campaigns and content-driven monetization initiatives to achieve defined revenue targets.

Content Distribution:

  • Ensure timely upload and optimization of content across all relevant platforms, including websites, apps, and third-party services.

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the commercial team to develop and execute monthly content strategies and promotional plans.

Partnership Development:

  • Identify and secure partnerships with content creators, providers, and aggregators to expand content offerings.

Performance Reporting:

  • Generate daily reports analyzing content performance, user engagement, and campaign success.

Creative Support:

  • Create promotional graphics, visual content, and other creative assets as needed.

Portfolio Growth:

  • Strategically expand and diversify the existing content portfolio based on market trends, user preferences, and performance data

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proven ability to create and manage content across various digital platforms.
  • Strong background in content marketing, digital media, or mobile VAS (value-added services).
  • Proven experience with monetization strategies such as SMS subscriptions and content.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and act on content performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for partner outreach.
  • Creative flair and familiarity with basic design tools or workflows.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data and generate reports on key metrics.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Public Relations, or other related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
