Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acquire and Secure new business through intermediaries.
  • Retain Existing business as per set objectives.
  • Maintain Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to intermediaries and clients.
  • Resolve Customer Complaints: Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
  • Follow Up on Renewals: Ensure timely follow-up on renewals for general insurance business.
  • Underwriting and Risk Management: Undertake initial underwriting according to set guidelines for sound risk acceptance.
  • Respond to Enquiries: Respond to customer and client enquiries promptly.
  • Premium Collections: Follow up on premium collections for GI clients.
  • Coordination with Underwriting Department: Forward proposal forms to the underwriting department.
  • Commission and Claims Issues: Follow up on commissions and claims issues with intermediaries.
  • Recruitment of Intermediaries: Recruit intermediaries as per set objectives.
  • Continuous Execution of Strategies: Continuously execute initiatives and strategies in the market to meet objectives.
  • Training and Partnerships: Train intermediaries on general insurance products and establish strategic partnerships for business support.
  • Market Intelligence: Share market intelligence with the supervisor.
  • Collaboration with Other Lines of Business: Work closely with underwriters, branch managers, and other lines of business to achieve objectives.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly and daily reports as required.

Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
  • 5years of relevant experience in the media company.
  • Technical/ Functional Competencies
  • Knowledge of media regulatory requirements.
  • Sales and marketing management skills.
