Job Description

Role Overview:

As a Cost Controller, you’ll play a pivotal role in providing valuable financial insights and analyses to management, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our Agri-hub. You’ll be responsible for formulating, developing, and implementing analytical reviews of our plant’s financial performance, as well as managing operating budgets and budgetary controls. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing manufacturing reporting accuracy, analyzing product costs and variances, and providing strategic advice to operations management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, develop, and implement effective analytical reviews of plant financial performance.
  • Manage operating budget and budgetary controls.
  • Oversee physical inventory strategy, count, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with operations management to optimize operational processes.
  • Present monthly manufacturing performance results.
  • Analyze product costs and variances.
  • Develop efficient manufacturing reporting.
  • Perform periodic audits of inventories.
  • Compile, analyze, and report financial data.
  • Update accounts payable/receivables and post purchases in the system.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions with proper supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing cost accounting experience.
  • Experience with ERP systems and MRP.
  • Must be proficienct in Excel.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Understanding of profit and loss statements, cost drivers, and cost forecasts.
