Job Description

Ampersand is Africas first and leading integrated electric motorcycle and transport energy solution. We offer East Africa’s five million taxi motorcyclists a commercial electric motorcycle that is cheaper from day one, provides better overall user experience and requires minimal customer behaviour change.

About the role

The Data Analyst Intern will be the primary interface with. This role will oversee customer care teams including roadside assistance, vehicle maintenance, “top up” sales, and spare parts. The aftercare manager will be accountable to delivering unparalleled service for our customers and fleet partners through proactive and efficient systems. This role will report to the Head of Operations-Kenya and hold the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

  • Collate and analyze data for reports.
  • Generate reports to assist teams in focusing activities and enhance the monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
  • Working with Operations/Sales department unit, ensure that any data requests are collated and processed in a timely fashion
  • Monitor sales cycle trends and flag out any anomalies e.g., low lead generation, weak conversion, new growth areas
  • Monitor swaps trends, costings and analyze to give trends and insights
  • Track issues that come in via Operations, customer Experience and Sales, to ensure they are routed to the relevant departments within the company for resolution within agreed SLAs
  • Develop and present where necessary reports to both internal as well as external stakeholders.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative data for adhoc and regular market intelligence analysis
  • Reviewing data and making recommendations based on findings
  • Identifying potential issues or problems with the company’s current business model
  • Communicating with internal clients to ensure that they have all of the data they need to make informed decisions
  • Creating reports and charts to help clients understand the data they are analyzing
  • Conducting research to gather data on specific topics or industries
  • Recommending changes to products or services based on customer feedback
  • Analyzing customer data to identify patterns or opportunities for improvement
  • Collecting, analyzing, and storing data in an organized fashion to ensure that it can be retrieved efficiently when needed
  • Reviewing data for accuracy and ensuring that it is presented in a clear and concise manner

Knowledge and skills

Experience:

  • Have practical knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than 2 years as a Data Analyst
  • Knowledge and expertise in re-engineering of business processes, including project management and problem-solving skills with excellent communication skills and ability to engage customers, vendors, partners, and internal cross functional teams

Qualifications:

  • Be a holder of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Science or IT gained from a recognized institution

Language(s):

  • English
  • Kiswahili

Technology:

  • Very Strong experience in technology required for the role

Minimum qualifications

  • Ability to deliver results on time and on budget.
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to manage shifting priorities and unforeseen challenges.
  • Familiarity with experimental design and execution.
  • High degree of comfort with quantitative analysis.
  • Professional comfort or higher with English.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is Must have
