DUTIES:

• Contribute to  data management systems (collation, processing and storage) and tools
• Support and develop existing tools and systems used for data capture.
• Respond to ICT support requests from field agents in a timely manner
• Write procedures and software to import/ export data from/to appropriate database systems and share these for further analyses and interpretation
• Implement and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) protocols and routines, including safe and remote back-up of database systems and tools
• Keep up to date with the latest tools and resources, including open-source software, for the collection, management, storage and sharing of information
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of information collected and all relevant data management systems

Requirements

• At least BSc in Computer programming/science
• Experience in writing and maintaining Android applications (Highly desirable)
• Experience in writing and maintaining API endpoints (Symfony framework)
• Experience of data management for research projects, particularly biological and agricultural topics
• Experience of ODK/ONA
• Use of Github or other version control system
