Job Description

Valley Hospital is a premier health facility located in Nakuru, offering diverse services with a mission to provide quality yet affordable healthcare.

Dentist

Why This Role Is Exciting

  • Variety that keeps you sharp — from routine check-ups to complex implant cases.
  • Modern tools, real support — work with up-to-date equipment and a hospital infrastructure built to back you up, not slow you down.
  • Room to lead — supervise auxiliary staff, shape clinic protocols, and help set the standard for patient care.
  • A team that has your back — collaborate closely with consultants and specialists on referrals and complex treatment planning.
  • Impact you can see — every patient you treat walks out with more confidence and less pain. That’s the job.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and treat a full range of oral health conditions, from emergencies to routine care
  • Create and manage treatment plans for complex cases, including dental implants and surgical referrals
  • Educate patients on prevention, hygiene, and long-term oral health
  • Keep accurate, thorough electronic health records for every patient interaction
  • Supervise and mentor dental auxiliary staff, keeping the team current on best practice
  • Maintain and safely operate all dental equipment, ensuring proper sterilisation standards
  • Help shape hospital-wide dental care policies and procedures
  • Take on new challenges as they arise because growth means flexibility

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (or equivalent qualification in dentistry)
  • Valid registration with the relevant Medical Practitioners & Dentists Council
  • A valid private practising license
  • 2–3+ years of post-internship experience in general dentistry
  • Clinical exposure to orofacial pain and oral medicine
  • Advanced training such as ACLS/ATLS (preferred)
  • Sharp attention to detail, a results-driven mindset, and above all genuine empathy for patients
