Uasin Gishu County is situated in the mid-west of the Rift Valley covering an area of 3,345.2 square kilometers and lies between longitude 34 degrees 50’ east and 35 degrees 37’ west and latitude 0 degrees 03’ south and 0 degrees 55’ north

Requirements For appointment:-

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Business Management, Commerce, Business Administration or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
• A master’s degree in any of the following fields: Business Administration, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Finance or any other relevant qualification from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
• Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than seven (7) years, three (3) of which must have been at senior management level in a public or private sector.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

• Implement asset management policy;
• Provide direction and technical assistance on asset management;
• Coordinate with other departments in the formulation of best asset management policy;
• Review and update existing asset management policy to ensure best practice in asset management;
• Assess and analyze budgetary provision for assets in the county to ensure timely replacement, repair and maintenance.
• Evaluate the asset management system for effective and real time identification and monitoring of assets.
• Ensure adequate insurance cover for all assets.
• Ensure Proper fixed asset accounting to comply with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and the Public Sector Accounting Service Board (PSASB) requirements.
• Coordinate acquisition and replacement
• Advise on asset disposal as per the prevailing laws and regulations
• Monitor assets performance and recommend corrective measures
