Job Description

The Nairobi Women’s Hospital is a hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. The hospital was founded in 2001 by Dr. Sam Thenya and is the first of its kind in the East and Central Africa region. Even if it specialised in Obstetrics and Gynecology services, the hospital is equipped and staffed to handle all general medical and surgical conditions.

Summary

  • Reporting to the Head of Hospitals-Cluster, this position is responsible and accountable to deputize in lead, the implementation of Hospital Healthcare organization strategy in the assigned cluster to drive Clinical excellence, operational excellence, cluster revenue growth and profitability in line with agreed objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation and monitoring of short, medium, and long-term strategic goals for the hospital cluster.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international standards and manage the implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Participate in budget planning and reporting to achieve excellence in patient care, clinical quality, customer experience, and revenue.
  • Ensure sound fiscal and risk management practices for financial sustainability and operational improvement.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of financial and non-financial resources while maintaining accountability and compliance with institutional guidelines.
  • Initiate and monitor cost management initiatives to enhance resource excellence, efficiency, and prudent asset management.
  • Lead business development plans and effective communication strategies to enhance organizational growth, performance, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Developing and monitoring the Hospital Cluster operational excellence strategies, oversee implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Polices & SOPs.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates for this position should have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in medicine and Surgery from a recognized University or Equivalent
  • Master’s degree in either Healthcare Management/ Business Administration or Equivalent will be an added advantage
  • At-least 5 years in healthcare management
  • Active knowledge and experience in Business, Financial, People and Stakeholder management
  • Active application of Information Systems and Health Care Management
  • Customer Excellence driver, Business Development skills
  • Business Acumen with niche in revenue management skills driven by ownership and accountability
  • Ability to Build and sustaining harmonious relationships that deliver results
  • Performance Management and People leadership, culture & change leadership
  • Excellent analytical skills
