Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, Business management, Entrepreneurship, Economics, International Trade/Business/Relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Must have served in a senior position related with Trade/Enterprise development:
• Master’s Degree is an added advantage
• Senior Management Course not lasting for less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
• Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and member of a professional body
• Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution;
• Demonstrated a thorough understanding of national goals, policies and development objectives and the ability to translate them into Enterprise development programs/projects.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, Coordinate and implement Trade policy, programs and Projects
• Overseeing trade, enterprise and investment promotion activities through trade fairs, exhibitions and stakeholders interative fora;
• Facilitating the growth, development and graduation of micro and small enterprises (MSEs);
• Directing policies, strategies and programs on e-commerce; and overseeing the establishment of business information and solution centers
• Coordinating activities of public-private sector partnership for Micro and Small Enterprise development;
• Management of of the Nairobi City County Biashara Ward Revolving Fund
• Coordinating research and market intelligence for Micro and Small Enterprise(MESs) development;
• Overseeing Capacity building trainings and extension services
