Job Description

We are a small, active, adaptable school with a British curriculum for kids ages 1 ½ to 14. Every youngster is given the caring they need to achieve their unique objectives and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Planning and Delivery:

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities based on the EYFS framework.
  • Foster a holistic approach to learning, encompassing physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and creative development.
  • Integrate play-based learning activities that encourage exploration, experimentation, and problem-solving.

Individualized Learning Support:

  • Assess the developmental needs and abilities of each child and tailor teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Provide one-on-one support and differentiated instruction to children who require additional assistance or enrichment.

Classroom Management:

  • Establish clear routines and expectations to promote a positive and organized learning environment.
  • Foster a culture of respect, cooperation, and inclusivity among students, encouraging empathy and understanding.
  • Manage behavior effectively, employing positive reinforcement strategies and conflict resolution techniques.

Parental Engagement and Communication:

  • Build strong partnerships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open lines of communication to support children’s learning and development.
  • Provide regular updates on children’s progress, achievements, and areas for growth through parent-teacher meetings, newsletters, and other communication channels.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

  • Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of children’s learning and development, documenting progress and identifying areas for further support or enrichment.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, observations, and anecdotal notes to inform individualized learning plans and report to relevant stakeholders.

Professional Development and Collaboration:

  • Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and collaborative planning sessions with colleagues to enhance teaching effectiveness and contribute to school-wide improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Ten years of teaching experience.
  • Proven experience working with young children in an educational setting, preferably within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework, child development theories, and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and well-being.
