The seat of the County Government – Marsabit town, is situated 270Kms north of Isiolo town, with most trading and urban centers within the county ranging from 60Kms to over 300Kms from Marsabit town. Marsabit town sits at an altitude of 1,500m above sea level. Marsabit town is situated on the Nairobi-Addis Ababa highway, hosting the county headquarters and bordering the Marsabit National Park. Duties and Responsibilities

• Class teaching.
• Role modeling, guidance and counseling, mentoring, and motivation of the learners.
• Preparing reports
• Ensuring the safety and security of the learners
• Identifying, Initiating, developing, and facilitating play learning activities that will enable learners enjoy living and learning through play
• Developing relevant play/learning materials for all learners.
• Preparing and developing schemes of work, lesson plans and daily programmes of activities, assessment and evaluation of learners’ progress and keeping professional records.

Requirement for Appointment

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade C (Plain), or its approved equivalent
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum grade D+(Pius), or its approved e Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or Ministry of Education its approved equivalent
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or its approved equivalent
• Registered by the Teachers Service Commission
• A certificate in Computer applications
