Job Description

The Nasio Trust is a registered charity based in the UK and Kenya that derives its inspiration and values from the Christian faith working and supporting individuals regardless of their beliefs or background. Our community-based approach is aimed at providing a holistic solution to ending the cycle of poverty

Summary

  • Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Education Programme Officer and the Education Committee you will provide professional advice, administrative and psychosocial support to all Nasio beneficiaries in education from primary to secondary as well as activities within Nasio’s Youth Department.
  • You will be responsible for education standards and qualification delivery, student assessments, achievement and standards. You will manage education quality assurance and carry out all education functions to achieve overall success. Implementing and improving the Nasio education standards and overseeing all education strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • You will lead on performance management of all students, learning and development of students andeducation staff, conduct student disciplinary procedures, manage education documentation/records and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Be a Holder of bachelor’s degree in education, psychology or any other social science.
  • Be registered with Teachers Services Commission
  • A certificate in leadership shall be an added advantage
  • Must be familiar with MS excel, at least at intermediate level.
  • Work in a small, friendly, vibrant team supporting a team of professionals.
  • Experience of efficient administration within a busy officer environment.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate electronic and paper-based data recording systems.
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • To ensure date and reports are accurate and produced in line with deadlines to funders and management
  • Documents are accurate and formatted as required.
  • Positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • To be able to work collaboratively and autonomously.
  • Good communication skills.

Essential criteria:

  • A good level of computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office 365, spreadsheets
  • Experience in the administration of students secondary and/or other further education training programmes.
  • Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work across teams to ensure services are delivered effectively as the Administrator you will work closely with partner agencies, teaching staff and
  • Managers daily by providing an effective administration service that supports contract monitoring, contract compliance and general office management.
  • The role will also include processing relevant data relating to finances like school fees of learners and ensuring records are kept up to date.
