Job Description

Kinetic Controls provides electrical and mechanical maintenance services in Kenya.

Electrical/Solar Technician

We are actively seeking a skilled Electrical/Solar Technician to join our team. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of both electrical and solar energy systems in an industrial context, emphasizing adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring all installations adhere to legal and company standards.
  • Implement and maintain solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) panels and associated electrical infrastructure.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests and repairs to ensure optimal operation of electrical and solar systems.
  • Follow technical diagrams and blueprints for installations and maintenance tasks.
  • Document all job activities, including progress reports and job completion records.

Educational and Professional Requirements:

  • Degree, HND or Diploma or in Electrical Engineering.
  • Certified as a T3 Technician by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).
  • Certified as an EPRA C and above Electrical Worker.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in an industrial environment, with hands-on expertise in managing both electrical and solar systems.

Skills:

  • Proficient in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and solar systems.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
