Job Description

Kasha is a fast-growing startup e-commerce company in East Africa focused on women’s health and personal care, selling products such as menstrual care, contraceptives, HIV self-tests, soaps, lotions, baby diapers, and beauty products. Kasha’s e-commerce is highly accessible across the region and customers can order via website, app, USSD (basic mobile phone, no internet), call center or social media. On top of the consumer business, Kasha’s business includes market insight, analytics, and service offerings to global manufacturers of FMCG, Pharma and Beauty products with the aim of helping them drive their revenue and market penetration.

Job Purpose:

To drive the company’s mission of being Africa’s leading platform for last-mile access to health by sourcing and managing complex, large-scale sales accounts. Expand Kasha’s market reach through nurturing existing client relationships, and enabling increased revenue generation from current accounts. Oversee all the phases of the enterprise account management cycle, from the initial setup and implementation of complex solutions and advanced programs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Establish and uphold a robust enterprise sales pipeline, identifying and nurturing opportunities to ensure a steady flow of potential partners.
  • Enabling implementing strategies and tactics to achieve enterprise services product revenue targets and drive growth in enterprise-enabled sales efforts.
  • Manage and foster relationships with key enterprise partners working to increase revenue, drive higher margins and strengthen partnerships over time.
  • Cross-team collaboration closely to ensure alignment on key strategic accounts and overall sales strategy.
  • Act as the face of Kasha within critical target customer segments within pharma agencies and implementing groups and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in these segments.
  • Develop compelling sales collateral, proposals, and pitches that communicate Kasha’s value proposition to potential partners with the aim of securing high-value contracts.
  • Collaborate with the VP of enterprise sales to establish clear sales targets and objectives for new opportunities, while providing regular insights on sales results to identify achievements and areas for improvement.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, and/or health-related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years as an Accounts Manager working with local and/or international pharmaceutical companies.
  • Proven track record of 5+ years in negotiations on commercial sales and managing complex, high-value enterprise accounts.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Hands-on expertise with pharmaceutical companies and/or health organisations is preferred.
  • A pipeline of local networks within aid agencies to accelerate the sales cycle will be an added advantage.
