Job Description

CompuLynx was founded in 1994 by Sailesh and Mehul Savani in Nairobi, Kenya. The company eventually expanded into Mombasa and Kisumu and into Uganda, Tanzania and the Middle East. CompuLynx has over 160 employees. Among them highly motivated software engineers and programmers at the very top of their game.

Entry Level Sales Trainees

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the retail sector.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.

Solution Selling:

  • Understand the needs and challenges of retail clients and position our solutions to address their specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with our product and technical teams to customize solutions and proposals for prospective clients.
  • Present and demonstrate our retail solutions to clients, showcasing their value and benefits.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to close sales deals.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Nurture and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance and support.
  • Monitor client satisfaction levels and address any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or solutions.

Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, including technology vendors, consultants, and trade associations.
  • Collaborate with partners to leverage their networks and resources to drive business growth.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and establish mutually beneficial relationships.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments in the retail sector.
  • Analyze market data and insights to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on market trends, client feedback, and competitive activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, challenges, and trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business growth.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
