Summary

We are looking for Data Enumerators who will work closely with the MEL Team to ensure that relevant data is collected, analyzed, and used to inform Program, management, design, and implementation decisions. This position is based in Mombasa and Lodwar. Applicants must be based in these locations.

The main responsibilities of the Data Enumerator include the following;

Responsibilities

  • Assist the MEL team in conducting outcome surveys such as baseline and end line
  • Support in qualitative data collection (Focus group Discussions and Key Informants Interviews).
  • Enumerators will use a mobile data collection tool (Kobo) to gather and accurately record responses on already existing tools and review them to identify any errors or inconsistencies before submitting them.
  • Support in ensuring that questionnaires/data collection forms have been thoroughly checked and completed
  •  Recognize and give account of problems in obtaining data and provide useful feedback from data collection activities as well as provide honest, clear feedback on challenges and successes.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the MEL Team.

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with incredible attention to detail and good communication skills. Basic qualifications include:

  • Good communication skills, fluent in English, Swahili & local language with good writing skills.
  • Experience in data collection
  • Very strong attention to detail and good follow-through.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and ability to work with no supervision
  • Problem-solving skills to address challenges during data collection
  • Unrelenting perseverance, personal integrity, flexible and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be able to legally work in Kenya.
