Job Description

Unity Homes is a Kenyan-based real estate development company. Estate Maintenance Technician

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and emergency maintenance repairs.
  • Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct electrical installation, repair, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Undertake carpentry and general building maintenance work.
  • Respond promptly to tenant maintenance requests and complaints.
  • Inspect estate facilities and identify maintenance needs.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment and facility breakdowns.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
  • Report major maintenance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support the overall upkeep and appearance of the estate.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Diploma in a construction-related field, property management, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry works.
  • Experience in property, facility, or estate maintenance is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of occupational health and safety practices.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
