Job Description

Reeds Africa consult (RAC) offers a broad scale of Human resource services designed to provide professional supports for the growing needs of today’s corporate organizations

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for an Executive-SOAP to run Soap Plant, Finishing Line, and Bagging section efficiently ensuring full capacity utilization of the same with a focus on efficient machine/equipment use, optimal deployment of human resources, right at the first time, meeting or exceeding set quality standards, adhering to specifications in direct input use and compliance with operational system such as QMS, GMP, 5s and all set standards on health and safety and general cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficient utilisation of machine capacity realizing output targets for each machine /equipment.
  • Ensure product quality standards met/exceeded
  • Adhere to specifications in manufacturing of Soap Noodles and Toilet soap as per customer specifications.
  • Ensure the correct weight and TFMs of all soaps produced in the Finishing Line.
  • Daily reporting on log sheets provided, getting it signed by the appropriate people and handing it.
  • Realize output targets hourly, and daily with a focus on meeting the production plan.
  • Meet product quality standards.
  • Ensure the process is cost-effective.
  • Develop and track improvement in the reduction of planned and unplanned downtime.
  • Help develop the setting and enforcing all SOPs.
  • Timely delivery of production plan
  • Oversee compliance to QMS, CGMP, and 5s.

Key Requirements & Skills

  • University graduate (5 yrs. exp.) in plant engineering, food technology or similar academic qualifications with a grounding in industrial processing of edible material.
  • A diploma graduate with min 5-8 years’ experience would be considered or HND graduate.

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Quick accurate judgment when faced with multiple solution-seeking challenges.
  • Inductive and deductive thinking.
  • Team player.
