Job Description

Summary

The Facilities Officer will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, contributing to the overall success of Phoenix Aviation Limited.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain company’s estate or operational area.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for maintenance and repair work.
  • Supervise the staff at the facility or coordinate any third-party service providers that the organization might use to maintain the property.
  • Ensure that the buildings and surrounding areas are safe for the organization’s staff and meet all necessary health and safety standards and that all assets consistently meet building regulations.
  • Manage a monthly or annual budget for the maintenance team(s) and the various tasks they complete and handle all bookings and payments for third-party services with emphasis that the maintenance team(s) completes work cost-effectively.
  • To take care of the buildings, grounds and maintain them regularly, including specific departments, parking areas and specialized equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and related documentation.
  • Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects.
  • Respond to emergencies and urgent facility issues as they arise.

Essential Requirements

  • KCSE-level certificate, diploma in a relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
